Further information

Echinacin MADAUS Instant Tea is the first sugar-free Echinacin tea which possesses the healing powers of the purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) in a form which can be drunk. Acting on a natural basis, it strengthens the intrinsic defensive powers of your body.

Like all original Echinacin MADAUS products, the manufacture of the new Echinacin MADAUS Instant Tea is subject to stringent quality control.

The power of Echinacin

The purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) is a modern medicinal plant with a long tradition.

Well over one hundred years ago, the North American Indians were familiar with the healing effects of the purple coneflower. They employed the plant successfully for various diseases.

Dr. Gerhard Madaus brought the first seeds of the purple coneflower to Germany and researched the powers of the plant in great detail. He recognised that the purple coneflower is of outstanding value for raising the immune powers of the body.

Learn how your immune system works

The human body is constantly under threat of invasion by millions of bacteria and viruses. Against these attackers the body deploys a highly complicated system of defence. Hostile organisms which penetrate into the body are recognised by detector cells, also known as scavenger cells, which swallow up and destroy most of them. At the same time the thymus gland produces special killer cells which also take up the struggle against dangerous pathogenic microorganisms. These are rendered harmless, so that new infections cannot break out and existing infections will recover more rapidly.

Weakness of the body's defences and its causes

There are many different factors that can weaken the immune system. Among them are excessive protracted stress, prolonged exposure to strong sunlight (UV radiation), chronic inflammatory conditions, metabolic diseases (diabetes, liver diseases), major operations, long-term therapy with antibiotics or anticancer drugs, and radiotherapy. And the human immune system is nowadays increasingly exposed to environmental pollution: chemicals in foodstuffs, poisons in air, soil and water, and radioactivity.

The immune system may be simply overloaded by these adverse factors. It becomes too weak to dispose of pathogenic microorganisms which have made their way into the body; they can then cause serious diseases.

Important Note
Everyone knows that children and elderly people are susceptible to infections. The reason is that in the first years of life children have not yet developed adequate defensive powers, while in elderly people the ageing of the defensive mechanisms means that they can no longer function adequately.

Alarm signals which you should take note of

Weakening of the body's defences may be reflected in frequent infections of the upper respiratory tract, and also by diseases such as arthritis (inflammation of joints), neurodermatitis (itching skin eruptions), herpes (small blisters on the lips) and candidiasis (fungal infection).

Other abnormalities which suggest weakening of the immune system are persistent colds despite every possible protective measure, delayed healing of wounds and diseases which take an unusually long time to clear up completely.

Reinforce your immune system with Echinacin MADAUS

Besides maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the planned use of Echinacin MADAUS Liquidum will give you confidence that you are effectively reinforcing your immune system:

Dissolve 1 teaspoonful of Echinacin MADAUS Instant Tea in a cup of hot (but not boiling) water. Drink the pleasant tasting tea slowly; if you wish you can add honey or sugar to taste.

When the weather is warm you can also prepare the tea as a cold drink by using cold water or fruit juice. By drinking Echinacin MADAUS Instant Tea you will not only reinforce the defensive powers of your body, but you will also be taking the increased fluid volume necessary during influenzal infections. This will help to wash out the kidneys and urinary tract as well.

Echinacin MADAUS Instant Tea is of particular value for children. It does not contain any sugar and therefore does not encourage dental caries.

By using Echinacin MADAUS Instant Tea you can strengthen your immune system so that it becomes more efficient and more resistant.

Echinacin MADAUS, available as Tea, Capsettes or Liquidum, should not be used without interruption for more than 6 - 8 weeks, because the strengthening effect on the immune system may weaken if it is taken for too long.
We accordingly recommend a rest period of at least 8 days after 6 - 8 weeks treatment.
